QP

Exam was on yesterday and it wasn’t as easy as in prior years… at least to me but I think I could manage a pass… yeah!  the FPE is the remaining 1… seems to be

but the CFA, CAIA… and my own study plan… oh god, I need a less stressful job.

X’mas Eve

Yeah, it was a very special and unforgettable day for me; even it was before my QP examination (Dec 27).  It was actually the 1st time I spent with someone very important to me, and it just made my heart smiles from the inside.

We had a nice sea-view dinner at East Tsim Sha Tsui, and from the appetizer to the dessert, all of those were perfect.  The seared tuna and salmon salad; mussel soup; beef tenderloin in foie gras sauce; honeyball turkey… yummy.  The more important thing is that we had a good time chatting with each other and it was just lovely.

HK traffic is just terrible, especially in holiday.  The traffic was so bad that we had to take the subway to Mongkok East to transfer with a cab to Elements.  We watched National Treasure: Book of Secrets and I think the movie is good for the holiday – some excitement and love element but nothin’ too bloody.

After the movie, I had my favourite – caffe shakerato at Habitu, and we took some warm soothing photos inside elements.  We did something very uncommon among our atheist generation – go to a church for midnight mass.  Again, we were affected by the traffic and had to walk to Hung Hom from Elements – 40 mins walk and we were both wearing boot.

We were just starving after the movie and headed for some night snack.  A routine – wonton rice noodle for the lovely person and cuttlefish balls for me .  We stood Jim and other people up and decided to have the night by ourselves only lol.  A walk along the promenade; a long talk at the resting area.  It was both quiet, relaxing, and enjoying.

Syria blocks Facebook over Israeli ‘infiltration’ – Internet- msnbc.com

DAMASCUS, Syria – Syrian authorities have blocked Facebook, the popular Internet hangout, over what seems to be fears of Israeli "infiltration" of Syrian social networks, according to residents and media reports.

Residents of Damascus said that they have not been able to enter Facebook for more than two weeks. An Associated Press reporter got a blank page when he tried to open Facebook’s home page Friday from the Syrian capital.

Syrian officials were not available for comment Friday because of the Muslim weekend, but some reports have suggested that the ban was intended to prevent Israeli users from infiltrating Syrian social networks.

Lebanon’s daily As-Safir reported that Facebook was blocked on Nov. 18. It said the authorities took the step because Israelis have been entering Syria-based groups.

Human rights groups have regularly criticized Syrian authorities for blocking opposition sites and Internet sites critical of President Bashar Assad’s government.

Former President Hafez Assad’s death in 2000 after three decades of authoritarian rule raised hopes of a freer society under his British-educated son and successor.

But the younger Assad cracked down on political opponents and human rights activists, putting many of them in jail.
